We heard some rumors pertaining to an upcoming Gear Fit 2 wearable from Samsung recently. The fitness band will be a follow-up to the first generation Gear Fit, which launched a near two years ago.
Samsung’s Gear Fit it clearly due for an upgrade. About a week ago, we caught a glimpse of the fitness band alongside Gear IconX earbuds. Then just yesterday, the fitness band surfaced on Samsung’s very own website, giving us a clearer look at it.
Today, famous tipster Evan Blass was able to obtain renders of the fitness band in several different colors, which he then posted on his Twitter page. The colors include Black, Pink and Blue. Judging from the renders, it seems we’ll be getting a slight refresh in design and new textured band options. The homescreen layout on the fitness band have also been redone, which now match the colors of the wallpaper on the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge. More information looks to be stored right on the homescreen as well.
Samsung hasn’t given us a specific launch date yet, but we’re expecting IFA 2016 to be the likely time.
