The Xiaomi Mi Max obtained its certification from the Chinese Regulatory TENNA a few days back, giving us a better sense of what to expect. Apparently the company doesn’t care much for secrets because the CEO Lei Jun just shared several photos of the upcoming Mi Max on Weibo.
The images show the giant 6.44-inch smartphone from the front in a variety of scenes. Different photos are displayed on the Mi Max’s screen to match the area. These photos are sharp and show lots of detail with accurate colors, which will likely be a selling point. Front-facing capacitive keys for navigation have been confirmed through numerous leaks. These images show off the White model, but additional colors may make the cut come launch time.
As for a quick specs recap, the device is expected to include a Snapdragon 650 processor with either 2GB or 3GB of RAM pending the storage capacity (16GB/2GB RAM, 32GB/3GB RAM). A 16MP rear-facing camera and a 5MP front-facing camera should be onboard. And to top things off, Google’s latest software version in Marshmallow will be pre-loaded with Xiaomi’s new MIUI 8 icing the cake. The Mi Max will be unveiled on May 10th.
