It's almost a given that the iPhone 7 will ship without a 3.5mm headphone jack, but what still remains unclear is what type of headphones Apple plans to ship with each device. While the safe bet is to assume that Apple will ship a pair of Lightning headphones with every new iPhone, we have seem some speculation that Apple may flip the script and ship a pair of wireless headphone with each new device. To this point, it's worth mentioning that Apple has shown an interest in securing a trademark for the name "AirPods." My guess is that if a wireless headphone solution is available, iPhone 7 users will have to pay a little bit extra for it. Removing the 3.5mm headphone jack is already a bold enough decision without additionally asking users to now delve into the world of wireless.
