A new report from Digitimes claims that Apple's upcoming iPhone 7 will come with 3GB of RAM as opposed to the 2GB currently found on the iPhone 6s. While the report doesn’t indicate whether both iPhone 7 models or just the iPhone 7 Plus model will enjoy the modest yet much-appreciated boost in memory, it stands to reason that only Apple’s 5.5-inch iPhone 7 model will be graced with more RAM. For starters, Apple is notoriously stingy with respect to components like RAM, the company’s long-time allegiance to 16GB of storage being a perfect example. That being the case, Apple has a tendency to only add pricier components into its pricier devices. Second, and perhaps more importantly, rumors surrounding the iPhone 7 Plus' camera suggest that it will need more memory in order to operate as intended.
