Apple is a company known for many things, and class-leading gadgets is at the top of the list. The company's iPod changed the way we listen to music, and the original iPhone turned the smartphone industry on its head, toppling giants like Nokia and BlackBerry in the process. Apple's iPad marked the launch of a new multi-billion dollar product category, and the Apple Watch is the only smartwatch in the world that actually sells in any significant quantities. In fact, Apple is now the second largest watch maker in the world behind Rolex.
Of course, Apple executives have also historically been known to make emphatic statements and then completely reverse course. "I don't think it's good that Apple is perceived as different; I don't care about being different," Apple co-founder Steve Jobs once said... just six months before the company's famous Think Different campaign launched. And there are dozens of similar examples.
Speaking of saying one thing and doing another, it looks like the president finally ditched his Android phone and switched to an iPhone.
