Apple’s new AirPods are cool for so many reasons. The fact that they’re truly wireless is the most obvious one, but there’s an awesome feature of the AirPods’ design that most people don’t ever think about. The AirPods don’t feature wireless charging, but they do support drop-in charging thanks to the exposed charging contacts at the bottom of each AirPod stem. It’s a very smart design, and you can actually do something similar with the AirPods case itself. Instead of fumbling with a Lightning cable, pick up a Spigen Compact Airpods Stand, which lets you simply place your AirPods case on top to charge it up.
Here are some highlights from the product page:
- Conveniently docks and keeps your AirPods charged with an opening for the lightning cable
- Features a Nanotac base to ensure a non-slip experience
- Thermoplastic Polyurethane (TPU) exterior with Polycarbonate (PC) interior keeps the charging case extra durable and scratch-free in everyday use
- Compatible only with Spigen / Apple Authentic Original Lightning Cable (Not Included)
