We are anticipating that Nokia’s first Android handset, the Nokia X, will be announced at Mobile World Congress, but will that be the only Nokia Android phone? According to Chinese media, Nokia has been testing other phones and might release them in May or June. The source is a company called Artesyn Technologies, which manufactures power conversion and mission critical embedded computing technology solutions for communications, computing, medical and industrial applications. Nokia happens to be one of their customers, so they might have a good idea what is going on behind the scenes. As you know, the Nokia X is an entry-level device so if this news is true, hopefully Nokia is working on something higher-end. The only problem is that Nokia’s flavor of Android on the X is heavily forked, and it won’t be Google certified. Based on that, I wouldn’t expect these “other phones” to be anything different. So this news is in a way good news and bad news. I would love to see a decent Nokia phone with Android, but I have no interest in something that isn’t certified by Google. source: tech.qq via: G4Games Come comment on this article: Nokia could have more Android phones in the pipeline Visit TalkAndroid for Android news, Android guides, and much more!
