Ahead of the release of Samsung‘s next flagship model, the Galaxy S5, Samsung has begun rolling out Android 4.4.2 to the Galaxy S4 (GT-I9500). This will bring a number of small UI changes such as the white notifications icons instead of the multi-color that Samsung has been using on their devices.
The phone will also get a performance boost, and will now get better benchmark scores. The lock screen has also been changed, and users can now access the camera straight from the lock screen. While playing music, the album art will also now be showed in full screen on the lock screen.
Other Android 4.4.2 changes include wireless printing, a number of new emojis, and so on. The update is being rolled out in phases, so you may not get it for a few weeks.
