Rick Bergman, CEO of Synaptics, the manufacturer that develops inbuilt fingerprint sensors to Samsung, has made some pretty interesting remarks as of late.

Bergman forecasted that wearable devices with fingerprint sensors will be introduced to the market as early as next year — as the sole provider of this technology to Samsung, this means we’ll most likely see the technology on Sammy’s upcoming wearable devices.

Bergman also said that the company is planning to announce a new fingerprint scanner after Q2 of this year.
