Guest Jack Holt Posted June 9, 2014 Posted June 9, 2014 Have you ever just wanted to turn on your screen without having to hit the power button? Well now you can. A new app in the Play Store by XDA senior member cb56, known as WakeUp allows you to do just that. The app recognizes when you pick up your phone and tilt it toward you and the screen comes on. You’ll be greeted with a fair amount of customization options such as haptic feedback, tilt sensitivity, and app timeout periods. I haven’t used the app so I can’t say if it has any negative effect on the battery but the app does come with this little warning: The application uses a little battery while monitoring because it prevents the device from going to sleep; you can then set how long it will be monitoring the movement of the device: the convenience comes at a cost! Though if you’re looking for an app that will allow you to pick your phone up and have the screen turn on automatically, then this is the app for you — even if it comes at a battery cost. There is both a free and pro version and you’ll find the QR codes and download links below. Enjoy!
