Guest Robert Nazarian Posted June 11, 2014 Posted June 11, 2014 Is you are a Feedly user, you might have noticed that the site won’t load this morning. That is because late last night, they were attacked by a Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS). The person(s) responsible for this is demanding a ransom in order to stop the attack. Feedly has refused to comply and is working on restoring service. Feedly CEO Edwin Khodabakchian said, “Criminals are attacking feedly with a distributed denial of service attack (DDoS). The attacker is trying to extort us money to make it stop. We refused to give in and are working with our network providers to mitigate the attack as best as we can.” He also said that your data is safe and as soon as the attack is neutralized, you will be able to re-access your Feedly. Let’s hope so. Evernote suffered a similar attack late last night as well, but service was restored within 3 hours. They did say that there could be some hiccups over the next 24 hours though. sources: Forbes / Feedly Blog / @Evernote Come comment on this article: Feedly and Evernote get taken down by hackers demanding ransom Visit TalkAndroid for Android news, Android guides, and much more!
