Guest Jared Peters Posted June 14, 2014 Posted June 14, 2014 LG’s 2014 flagship, the G3, hasn’t been released outside of South Korea yet, but that’s not stopping LG from planning what’s next in the pipeline. The latest rumors point towards LG releasing a new version of the G3 just months after the original was announced. This new version of the G3 looks like it will feature an upgraded Snapdragon 805 CPU and faster modem that would allow it to reach 225 mbps download speeds on compatible networks. Aside from those two hardware improvements, all of the other specs seem to be identical. Last year, Samsung released a slightly improved version of the Galaxy S 4 in South Korea with a faster CPU and LTE-A support, which is pretty similar to this situation. On one hand, it’s great to be able to offer a better device when you can, but it’s a quick way to make your early adopters feel alienated. Although, it’s worth mentioning that you wouldn’t really see much real-world performance improvement from the Snapdragon 801 to the 805, and you’re not going to find many networks that are capable of taking advantage of the incredibly fast download speeds, so those upgrades may not seem like such a big deal after all. Rumors say this device will launch sometime in July. source: Naver via: G for Games Come comment on this article: LG may launch a G3 with Snapdragon 805 CPU next month Visit TalkAndroid for Android news, Android guides, and much more!
