Guest Justin Herrick Posted June 19, 2014 Posted June 19, 2014 We all know that apps, and especially from Google, take a very long time to have everyone updated to the same version. A multitude of Google’s apps are being updated in the form of a staged rollout. The apps included are Chrome Beta, Drive, Hangouts, My Tracks, and Translate. Hit the break for a brief description of each update along with download links. Here are the descriptions, courtesy of XDA: Chrome Beta — fixes for quite a few bugs including problems with the built-in translation functionality, as well as a few less noticeable issues. Drive – brings performance enchancements and bugfixes. In addition, it also packs a few other new tricks such as a tweaked multi-user menu, new refresh animation, and floating document creation shortcuts at the bottom of the window. Hangouts – no visible changes that we’ve noticed thus far. My Tracks – changed the way it interacts with Google Maps by allowing you to export to Google Maps Engine, instead of the previous export to Google Fusion Tables and Google Maps. Additionally, though this may be simply a coincidence. Translate – features a cute app icon and playful swap translation direction button.
