[New Android Wear App] Pay for your next Starbucks drink with Coffee Time

If you frequent Starbucks and own an Android Wear smartwatch, you need to download Coffee Time right now. It was one of my favorite apps for the Sony SmartWatch 2, and the developer, Not Just 4 Time, has made it available for Android Wear.

 

Once you have downloaded the app, just open it on your phone and enter your Starbucks card number, then tap the arrow at the bottom of the screen to send the card number to your watch.

 

 

 

The next time you go to a Starbucks, just say “OK Google, open Coffee Time” or “OK Google, start Coffee Time” into your watch and the barcode will appear. Just wave it in front of the scanner or hold your arm out in the drive thru, and your drink will be paid for. No phone no fuss.

 

There is one other cool thing about this app and that is that once you open the Coffee Time app on your watch, it will remain on the display until you turn it off or send it to ambient (standby) mode. As you know, Android Wear has a pretty short window for the display timeout, so this will come in handy.
