In addition to those devices, FreedomPop will let users bring off-contract Sprint LTE tablets over to the service. A 16GB iPad Mini will sell for $319 while the 16GB Samsung Tab 3 will go for $199. These will be refurbished units. FreedomPop says the purchase of one of the tablets will give users access to 500MB of LTE data, 200 voice minutes and 500 text messages per month for no monthly fee. The accounts can be upgraded for $10 per GB of additional data or unlimited calling and texting can be added for $20 per month. According to FreedomPop, the tablets will receive their own phone numbers not tied to any other account or device. However, if a user also has a FreedomPop smartphone, calls can be setup to come in to both their phone and tablet. The company plans to expand their tablet portfolio in the future and may include some Nexus tablets. FreedomPop says they have already planned for “low tens” of thousands of units to be able to meet expected demand. Initial sales will be limited to markets where Sprint LTE service is available, but will eventually expand to non-LTE markets. source: FierceWireless Come comment on this article: FreedomPop to offer LTE-enabled tablets with free voice, text and data Visit TalkAndroid for Android news, Android guides, and much more! http://androidforum.us/data/MetaMirrorCache/4c71b5b9479381f984ccd4becab463d4._.gif News via TalkAndroid
