The update really only adds one new feature, the ability for someone who has found a smartphone with the ability to call the owner. The lockscreen implemented with this change will display a big green button for the finder to use to “Call Owner.” The number to be called, as well as a personal message that can be configured to display on the lockscreen, can be configured by the smartphone owner ahead of time. This can be done on the device or via the web interface. At this time, it appears the feature is only available on phones. However, you could still list a callback number to be used if a tablet device finds itself in the hands of a good Samaritan that wants to return the device to its rightful owner. There is code in the new apk that suggests Google may be adding the ability to initiate a call using Hangouts. As usual, the update is rolling out in stages. If you just cannot wait to get the updated version, which is 1.3.8, you can download the apk below and manually install it. http://androidforum.us/data/MetaMirrorCache/3413d124d539251a7fa9daa4a0edb946.jpg http://androidforum.us/data/MetaMirrorCache/026bb0fec8ea80c561dc6710d28e52f1.png http://androidforum.us/data/MetaMirrorCache/78c76298a6c42e27a672e9b13992b2e3.png source: Android Police, apk download Come comment on this article: Android Device Manager joins the update club Visit TalkAndroid for Android news, Android guides, and much more! http://androidforum.us/data/MetaMirrorCache/0836976b9645fe87732a3995418bfbb5._.gif News via TalkAndroid
