The Galaxy Alpha, while keeping the same rubberized back panel found on the Galaxy S 5, will feature a metal frame. Seemingly official specifications have leaked due to someone photographing a presentation slide. It confirms that Samsung’s first premium made device will not also be premium on the inside. The resolution of the Galaxy Alpha’s AMOLED display is 720p on a 4.7-inch slab of glass. The processor is paired with 2GB of RAM instead of Samsung’s common 3GB. The picture above makes it seem that an octa-core processor will be present. Which kind, we do not know. There is no microSD card slot, surprisingly, but the company has supplied 32GB of internal storage. The source claims there will also be a 64GB option. It will support Bluetooth 4.0 and features a USB 3.0 port for charging and file transfers. The home button, just like the GS5 and Galaxy Tab S, will have a home button with a built-in heart rate monitor. And right out of the box, the Galaxy Alpha will operate with Android 4.4. In all, the price is said to be starting at R$2,399 in Brazil.
