Google Play users in select countries are getting 80% off a “top app or game”

A Reddit string has been posted of random users being chosen for a Google Play 80% “top app or game” flash promotion. People in U.S. aren’t getting it.

 

 

Several Android users outside the U.S. have woken up to a banner on the homepage of the Play Store reading “Surprise! Claim Your Easter Treat… 80% off a top game or app.”

 

The offer is limited to those in Great Britain, France, Germany, and Russia. According to Google, the discount was awarded to few states and was “based on past purchase history.” Maybe other countries will get a different promotion from Google later in the day.
