In February, Samsung added

support for ad blockers in their Android web browser. As of last week, the Samsung Internet for Android app works with older Galaxy models.

Samsung’s web browser is now available for older Galaxy devices including the Note 3, S4, S4 Duos, S4 Active, S4 LTE A, A7, A8, A5x, A7x, and A9x. Up until this point, the app has only been available to download on newer Galaxy devices such as the Galaxy S7 Edge, S7, Note 5, S6 Edge+, S6 Edge, S6, S6 Active, Note 4, S5, S5 Neo, S5 Active, S5 Sports, and S5 LTE A. For the older models to run it, make sure Android 5.0 or higher is running on the device. Don’t worry, the update has already been pushed to these models, so there’s no need to wait any further.

All these Galaxy models can now take advantage of Samsung’s Internet v4.0, which adds support for ad-blocking extensions. While some of you it may not bother, many of us are annoyed by ads, and this update will make web surfing a whole lot cleaner and enjoyable. You can grab it at the download link below.
