Guest Jared Peters Posted April 15, 2016 Posted April 15, 2016 http://androidforum.us/data/MetaMirrorCache/a62fb800211f4e4ee597c04cda47113d.pngBuckle up, because you’re about to get hit with the most ironic promotion of 2016. Verizon is offering up to 2GB of free data to any customers that use Android Pay for two months. After years of anticompetitive practices blocking Google Wallet, delaying Samsung Pay, and tons of other sketchy behavior, Verizon is finally supporting a mobile payment system that they aren’t paying under the table. Go ahead, check the date. It’s definitely not April 1st. The promotion does have a few catches, but it won’t cost you anything extra or hassle you in any way. All you have to do is use Android Pay at one of the many places that supports it and Verizon will give you an extra gigabyte of wireless data for two billing cycles. The third time you use Android Pay, they’ll toss in an extra gigabyte. It’d be nice to keep it for more than two months, but hey, that’s better than nothing. Hopefully this is a change of heart for the company going forward so we won’t have to use weird workarounds to get mobile payment apps to work on Verizon phones. This offer does stack with other promotions that Verizon is running, too, so be sure to take advantage of it if you have a compatible phone. source: Verizon Wireless Come comment on this article: Verizon is offering up to 2GB of free data for using Android Pay Visit TalkAndroid http://androidforum.us/data/MetaMirrorCache/2d33d7d98a0c238da65f8f7378c123c9._.gif News via TalkAndroid
