Those televisions, though, were priced rather high because of the Ultra HD (4K) resolution and High Dynamic Range (HDR); therefore, Vizio is doing consumers a favor by bringing the screen-mirroring technology to its more affordable E-Series and M-Series. The televisions from the SmartCast M-Series have Ultra HD resolution and a bundled companion tablet acting as the remote. Since it runs Android 5.1 Lollipop, that tablet can also be used for on-device streaming. Pricing for the different models from the SmartCast M-Series is as follows: Vizio SmartCast M-Series 50-inch model: $849 Vizio SmartCast M-Series 55-inch model: $999 Vizio SmartCast M-Series 60-inch model: $1,249 Vizio SmartCast M-Series 65-inch model: $1,499 Vizio SmartCast M-Series 70-inch model: $1,999 Vizio SmartCast M-Series 80-inch model: $3,999 The SmartCast E-Series, which is getting Ultra HD resolution for the first time, does not come with the 6-inch tablet. Instead, owners of these televisions will have to use the included standard remote or the SmartCast app on a phone or tablet to do anything.
