Guest Brad Ward Posted May 6, 2016 Posted May 6, 2016 http://androidforum.us/data/MetaMirrorCache/5acd7ecdcbbd85cf742f7ab63ca52189.jpg It looks like gaming hardware manufacturer Razer could be building a smartphone. Razer CEO Min-Liang Tan recently posted on Twitter that the company was looking for a Product Developer for Mobile. Here’s the official tweet: We’re looking for a Product Developer (Mobile) to join Team Razer! For Gamers. By Gamers. https://t.co/qgOHFo3NA2 #job — Min-Liang Tan (@minliangtan) May 2, 2016 From the tweet, it’s very likely that Razer is just looking for a Product Developer for its tablets and maybe even its smartwatches (e.g. the Nabu). On the other hand, the job description is quite interesting, as it specifically mentions smartphones: “Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business discipline. Attuned with latest phones, tablets, and mobile devices. Knowledge of ARM systems and components” This, of course, doesn’t mean Razer is making an Android-based smartphone or tablet right now. But, with its foray into Android with the Forge TV and the recent acquisition of OUYA, it doesn’t seem like a far-fetched idea. It’d certainly be neat to see a flagship from the company, or even a gaming-focused Android tablet. http://androidforum.us/data/MetaMirrorCache/29acff411877102824dc38620c5620e9.png A press render of the Razer Forge TV. This is another one of things where we’ll have to sit back, be patient, and wait and see what happens.
