New vs. original iPhone photo comparison shows how far we’ve come

But then, last year’s model may have brought over minimal improvements compared to the two-year-old device. That’s because Apple likes to build on its past innovations and add new useful features each year, even if some of them may seem unimportant at the time. That's not the case for this year's iPhone cameras. The iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus cameras bring over significantly improved cameras, and a comparison between the original iPhone and the iPhone 7 Plus shows how far Apple has come with its smartphone camera technology.
