The great thing about HDTVs these days is that they're ridiculously affordable compared to prices even a couple short years ago — and even the TVs sold at bargain basement prices have surprisingly good displays these days. But the bad thing is the fact that there are almost no HDTVs that ship with decent speakers, so you absolutely need to snag a separate sound bar or speaker system to get good sound.
