Guest Yoni Heisler Posted February 24, 2017 Posted February 24, 2017 For as much ink as AI-infused robots get in the press, fueled in part by Elon Musk and Stephen Hawking warning us of a future filled with "killer robots", I think we need to start focusing on a far more worrisome piece of technology: Flame-throwing drones. Recently, a power company based out of Xiangyang, China came up with the idea as a way to clear power lines of pesky debris, often in the form of plastic bags and other pieces of trash that somehow find landing spots in less than ideal locations.
