Immortal Posted December 7, 2024 Posted December 7, 2024 I have been using this Samsung phone for almost 5 years and there has been no major issues so far but recently I have started experiencing this wifi issue. It frequently gets disconnected. No, it is not related to my internet connection. Wifi on my phone gets disconnected even when the internet is working on my laptop. I have checked setting and I do not see any issues. Quote

Please explain this to me. By the way, until recently, the same wifi network was working on the same handset Quote
AOSF Admin AWS Posted December 9, 2024 AOSF Admin Posted December 9, 2024 The wifi standard has changed. Wifi 6 is the new standard. If you're provider upgraded anything it would include an upgrade to wifi 6. A couple key features of wifi 6: Quote Wi-Fi 6, also known as 802.11ax, is the latest generation of Wi-Fi technology designed to improve speed, capacity, and performance in environments with many connected devices. It builds on the previous standard, Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac), offering several enhancements. Key Features of Wi-Fi 6 Increased Speed: Wi-Fi 6 can deliver speeds up to 9.6 Gbps, compared to Wi-Fi 5's maximum of 3.5 Gbps. Improved Capacity: Utilizes OFDMA (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access), allowing multiple devices to share channels simultaneously, improving efficiency in crowded areas. Better Performance in Crowded Areas: Enhanced with MU-MIMO (Multi-User, Multiple Input, Multiple Output), supporting more simultaneous connections. Wi-Fi 6 can handle up to 8 users at once, compared to 4 in Wi-Fi 5. While your phone should connect to a wifi 6 network the performance will be degraded. It is possible that yours is degraded to the point it won't connect. Quote
uptrendfinancialsignal Posted December 14, 2024 Posted December 14, 2024 I feel your frustration. It is advisable to try it on safe mode after booting the phone. If that doesn't work as planned, then just disconnect your wifi network and reconnect again. If this doesn't work, then it's recommended to contact Samsung service center. Quote
flower Posted December 14, 2024 Posted December 14, 2024 Sorry to hear that! You should also check if your phone needs update to the latest version of software. You can also try and change your phone’s network settings to default. This might solve the wifi problem. Quote
