flower Posted December 14, 2024 Posted December 14, 2024 I’m having battery issues on Android. So, I need the tips on how to extend my battery life. At the moment, my phone can only last a single day. Can you share with me your top battery-saving strategies? What works best for you? Quote
Wings Posted December 14, 2024 Posted December 14, 2024 I always adjust these settings when I get a new device. Screen brightness Battery saver mode to on Turn off location Turn off wifi when I don't need it Disable notification. I find them useless anyway. Dark mode saves power too so I enable it I also routinely close apps running in the background. Quote
fdk1971 Posted December 14, 2024 Posted December 14, 2024 A day seems about right in terms of battery power for most Android phones nowadays. They can't compete with iPhones on battery power, purely on price point most likely. I paid about £100 for my Android phone (granted, refurbished, new it would've been about £250). Compare this with a new iPhone that'll cost me £600 at an absolute minimum for what is essentially double battery life. Having owned both an iPhone and an Android phone, apart from marginally worse performance on my Android (and I'm talking probably milliseconds in terms of app loading speeds etc), I can confidently say I won't buy an iPhone again. Double battery life and a few seconds saved per day isn't enough for me to justify triple the price. Quote
Immortal Posted December 23, 2024 Posted December 23, 2024 If your smartphone's battery lasts for a single day, I think you already have a good battery life. The more you use the phone, especially watching videos and playing games, the faster your battery will drain. One way to improve battery life is close all background apps, and turn off wifi when not in need. Quote
