Whether intentional or not, LG is ending up with a lot of rumors and leaks floating around on the Internet about their next flagship device, the LG G3. Yesterday we learned that an announcement may come as early as July or even late June as the company tries to keep pace with other manufacturers releasing new flagship devices this year. Today some AnTuTu benchmark data has surfaced for a couple LG devices, at least one of which comes with the LG G3 model name.

According to the AnTuTu entry for an LG G3, the device was tested with a Snapdragon 801 chip driving a 2560 x 1440 resolution screen. This is backed up with 2GB of RAM. Most of the information to date has indicated the LG G3 will come with 3GB of RAM. Another entry on AnTuTu for an unspecified LG device does list 3GB of RAM, but the screen resolution is only 1920 x 1080. The Snapdragon 801 in this second device is also clocked at a slightly lower speed.

We are not sure what the different combinations of RAM and screen resolution tell us, especially since they seem to be the opposite of what we would expect. It could be these are different variants of the LG G3 or it could be two entirely different devices. We expect more information will be surfacing over the next couple months leading up to LG’s release of the LG G3.
