Homeless and desperate people who need quick cash are apparently used by a group of scammers to purchase on-contract iPhones in Apple stores. Once the transaction is done, these people are paid up to a couple of hundred dollars for the new handsets, while the con men walk away with the new devices, which can then be sold for full price.
