HTC rumored to be readying premium version of M8 codenamed M8 Prime

Rumors of HTC’s M8 Ace, a plastic variant of the M8, have been circulating, and now it looks like rumors of a new variant are starting to swirl.

 

@evleaks teased the “M8 Prime” on Twitter, saying, “Forget the Ace. What y’all are really waiting for is codenamed M8 Prime.”

 

 

We don’t know how much better (or worse) this phone will be than the HTC One (M8), but we’d guess that this will be a higher-end version of the flagship. Samsung is currently readying a premium Galaxy S5 codenamed the “KQ,” which will have a 2560×1440 display — the M8 Prime should be the KQ’s competitor.
