Guest Robert Nazarian Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 In very unsurprising news, Korean media is reporting that the Galaxy S 5 Prime will be very limited due to high costs for the QHD (2560 x 1440) OLED panels. I think it’s more about the fact that they won’t be able to produce all that many, which is why they nixed it for the Galaxy S 5. With the upcoming LG G3 expected to also have a QHD display, it begs the question of why LG isn’t having any issues with production? It’s awfully similar to the Galaxy Round and G Flex situation. The Galaxy Round was very limited, while the G Flex was launched worldwide. LG seems to be holding all the cards when it comes to display panels, so Samsung needs to watch their back. Anyways, we still don’t even know if this new Samsung phone will be called the Galaxy S 5 Prime, the Galaxy F, or something entirely different, but it’s rumored to make an official appearance in June. source: Korea Herald via: G4Games Come comment on this article: Galaxy S 5 Prime (project KQ) to be very limited Visit TalkAndroid for Android news, Android guides, and much more!
