Guest Robert Nazarian Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 Looks like HP won’t be the only company to offer a laptop running Android. ARCHOS just unveiled the ArcBook, which looks interesting, but as with many ARCHOS products, the specs aren’t all that thrilling. Let’s start out with the fact that the ArcBook is running Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. At this point in the game, there is no excuse for releasing a product with anything other than KitKat. Now on to the hardware….brace yourselves….it features a 10.1-inch (1024 x 600) display, 1.2 GHz dual-core ARM Cortex-A9 processor, 1GB of RAM, 8 GB of internal storage, front-facing camera, USB 2.0, full QWERTY keyboard with touchpad, and dual speakers. Users will also get Office Suite Pro 6 and 15 GB of free space on Google Drive, which is definitely going to be useful since there is only 8 GB of real internal storage. Now onto the price, which isn’t half bad. You get all this for a total of $170, which is definitely affordable. It just might be the perfect device for the very casual user who sends a few emails, checks out Facebook, and does a little web browsing. Yup, that’s you Grandma. The ArcBook will be available in June, but don’t worry about getting a pre-order in because, trust me, this one won’t sell out. source: ARCHOS Come comment on this article: ARCHOS unveils the ArcBook, and laptop running Android Visit TalkAndroid for Android news, Android guides, and much more!
