Guest Jeff Causey Posted May 14, 2014 Posted May 14, 2014 Motorola has released a new app to the Google Play store that is intended specifically for their devices. Motorola Alert lets users set up a contact list of specific individuals to be contacted in case of an emergency. When the app is triggered, it will start to send out periodic notifications to the emergency contacts. The notifications will include location information, so those receiving the messages will not only know the user needs help, they can find them. On a less urgent level, Motorola Alert will also let users set locations like Home, Work or School. Whenever you arrive or leave one of these pre-defined locations, the app will send a notification. Initially the app is only available for the new Motorola Moto E, but should be coming to the Moto G and Moto X shortly. You can check out the app below using the links to Google Play.
