Guest Christian de Looper Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 Sony has announced its fiscal year 2013 results, including the figures for the last quarter. During this period, Sony reports sales of $74.5 billion and operating income of $257 million, which was largely due to PlayStation 4 sales. In the last quarter alone, Sony missed its smartphone forecast by almost a million devices. The forecast was for 9.7 million Xperia units to sell during the 4th quarter, but the final result was 8.8 million units. Despite these results, Sony does expect to see growth during this year, with a forecast of 50 million devices. This would be a growth of 28%, which seems like a lot but is definitely achievable.
