Guest Aditya Thawardas Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 Flappy Bird had a short life in the Play Store before developer Dung Nguyen took it down in February for it being “too popular,” but it’s making a return. Nguyen told CNBC today that the game will return to iOS’s App Store and Google’s Play Store in August with a few changes, like multiplayer mode and being less addictive. Flappy Bird became a cultural phenomenon a few months ago when it was in its prime, before many replicas popped up. It’s a fair question to ask whether the game will be as popular after so many months.
