Google just announced Google+ Stories and Movies, which will be launching on the desktop and Android this week (iOS coming soon). Stories is the bigger news of the day, and is perfect for vacations. After your vacation, you are likely to have hundreds of photos and videos to sift through, but Google is going to make it a little easier by gifting you a Story, which is a travelogue or diary. In a nutshell, it’s a slide show with notes describing the things that you were doing or places you were visiting on your trip. We can only assume that you will be able to modify the gifted Story, just like you can with Movies. Movies has already been available, but it appears it’s now going to be available to a lot more users. My understanding is that it was only available on KitKat devices, but now it will be available on the desktop as well as other Android versions. Movies is simply a short film of your videos and pictures from events such as a birthday party, wedding, or even a short day trip. Google automatically gifts you these Movies, but you can always fine tune them or even create one from scratch. If you have never seen an Auto Awesome Movie, check out the video below.
