Guest Robert Nazarian Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 Well Google and Motorola might be parting, but they sure act like they are still together. Yesterday, we told you that Google is looking for developers to submit Android Wear apps for feedback ahead of the launch of the G Watch and Moto 360. Now Motorola has stepped forward asking for people to submit watch face designs for a contest ahead of their Moto 360 launch. You don’t have to be a developer for this one, just a good designer. You just need to grab one of the official template PSDs, and entries need to be in the JPG, PNG, or GIF format. You have until June 10, 2014 (3:00pm CST) to get your entry in. A judging panel will then pick the 10 best and post them on Google+ on June 17, 2014. The Google+ community will have until June 24, 2014 (5:00pm CST) to get their votes in. Interestingly enough, this is the day before Google I/O. The winner will receive a Moto 360, which according to the official rules, has an average retail price of $249. The nine runner-up winners will get a $50 Google Play gift card. Motorola isn’t promising that any of the 10 finalists, including the winner’s design, will be used for the watch. However, I can guarantee you that developers will most likely develop them assuming that will be a feature of the watch.
