Guest Harrison Kaminsky Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 For those of you not familiar, Vertu is a luxury smartphone manufacturer that has designed some seriously gorgeous looking devices. Not only are they amazing looking on the outside, but they usually feature top-of-the-line specs as well. Vertu unveiled its newest device, the ‘Signature Touch’ today, and boy is it beautiful — it will set you back £6,750 (about $11,300), though… Check out the video and more details about the device after the break. Click here to view the embedded video. The Signature Touch runs Android 4.4 KitKat and packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 SoC with 2.3GHz quad-core CPU, 2GB RAM, 64GB internal storage, a 4.7-inch 1080p display covered by sapphire glass. The body is made of grade 5 titanium and it’s finished in leather with multiple options. Pretty nice, but nothing out of the ordinary here, right? Well keep listening. There’s a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and tuned by co-branding partner Hasselblad. The front camera is 2.1MP. The audio features Bang & Olufsen as a co-branding partner, and the company tuned the device’s speakers. The device comes with an awesome ultra-premium over-ear headset and wireless speaker. You’ll get your standard LTE connectivity, a 2,275 mAh battery and Qi wireless charging. Vertu’s 24-hour “concierge” service is available via voice, email and live chat, as well as the Vertu Life app, which offers exclusive access to sporting events and private members’ clubs worldwide. On top of all that, the device encrypts calls and data for extra security, and you’ll also get free Wi-Fi at any iPass hotspot. The device will be available later this month to order, and it’s hand-made by an individual craftsman in England.
